  1. Dear Jack,

Really sorry to hear that your dates didn’t go as planned in the Ukraine. If you haven’t already done so, please contact Customer Service and they will provide you with compensation for the credits spent communicating with these Ladies. Our goal, as always is to bring men and women together, and in cases where this doesn’t happen we provide our clients with the option to try again.

There are over 20,000 Ladies on the site and we are sure that 99% of them would not cause such offence.

This is quite an unusual set of events, usually our male members visit Ukraine to see the Ladies they have been corresponding, chatting and speaking to via the site and they usually hit it off pretty well. It is quite common, and I am sure you appreciate why, for a lady to be chaperoned while on a date. In a society where there is little trust of men, the females often bring along a partner until they feel comfortable with their date.

Regarding the restaurant bill, as our Tour Leader always states, the man has to take control and basically do the ordering. The Ukrainian ladies sometimes think that the Western gentlemen who visit them are super wealthy and so can afford to offer them a little luxury, but they should not make this assumption and a quick but forceful stating of the ground rules usually avoids such situations.

We always recommend that our clients visit the Ukraine (if it is their first time) on an organized tour as we thoroughly immerse them with the dos and don’t of International Dating and the peculiarities of Ukrainian Culture, which quite frankly is very different from North American and Western European.

    Best Wishes

    AnastasiaDate

Notice how the Anastasia response is not signed by anyone. They are the most bogus company in this industry. They cheated me out of several thousand since they write the response letters or pay women to do so.

When you want to travel to meet the women are always busy. Their organized tours are a joke. I would like to hear from ment scammed by Anastasia to put together a petition asking for the Maine Attorney General to pursue criminal charges of fraud and deception.

I’ve had a profile on anastasiadate.com for a couple of years now, and I’ve met with three women so far (actually four, since the first woman’s interpreter happens to have a profile on the site as well).
Since I travel to Moldova and Ukraine by myself – by motorbike – we set up the meeting ourselves. First time was not a success, and we also had the issue with a relatively expensive dinner (around 100 USD or so).
    This was only once, though.

Last summer I intended to meet with some of those I had corresponded with, but didn’t succeed in setting up a meeting in time, and thus, continued my trip to Bulgaria.

A few days ago I met with another woman, whom I’ve corresponded with for a long time now. She seemed very genuine from the beginning, and we even exchanged personal contact information so that we have other options as well now.

I have no problem accepting that the women are often busy. The girl I met had to travel 50 minutes each way by bus just to meet me; this means she spent almost 5 hours per day, two days in a row, to meet me.
All she got from me during this time, was ½ pizza and a glass of juice.

Some women in Ukraine need to work more than one place or even help their grand parents with a lot of things. We simply cannot compare the situation in Ukraine with those in the US or Western Europe. The story goes a long way back, there’s a reason for everything, and we should also remember that Ukraine was among those hit hardest by World War II. Even so, it was primarily the Soviet Union who defeated the Nazis, with the cost of millions of lives and most of their cities and industry ruined.

During my visits in Ukraine, 99% of the people I’ve met here – women and men – have been very polite, hospitable, helpful and communicative. I always feel welcome while I’m in Ukraine, and I wish to thank Ukraine and the Ukrainian people for this, as well as for what they did for all of us during those dark years 41-45.

Anyway, this is off the track, I know. c”.)

There’s always fraud and deception in any place in the world. However, if I met someone 10 years older than myself from my home country, there’s no guarantee that would last, either – or, that she were genuine, for that matter.

As of today, I’ve met a kind, gentle, beautiful and sincere Ukrainain woman through Anastasiadate, and I believe in her so much that I’ve decided to take this relationship one step further and give her the opportunity to visit me in my home country, Denmark, some time soon.

My advice is not to spend a lot of money on your dates; that’s always a bad sign. A simple dinner or a cup of coffee is okay, but it shouldn’t be the ability to pay expensive dinners or gifts that should be the leading factor. If she’s genuine, then she’ll be so, also if she’s not even offered a cup of coffee at your cost.

I also think it’s important to communicate a lot and get to know about each other’s backgrounds, culture, history and so on. Many events shaped many parts of the world in completely different ways, and we need to keep this in mind.

    Hi Bruno,
thank you for a very good comment above.

I liked it a lot, and was happy to hear of your good experiences with this agency.

I have tried them also with less luck. In fact, I caught them red-handed in the classic correspondence scam. The letters will, most of the time actually be written by the local marriage agency officers, not the girls themselves. At one point, they switched the translator who was writing the letters for Daria, whom I was corresponding with. The handover of the task went wrong somehow. She thought it was a new acquaintance for me. So after 4 months of writing, this new translator wrote a fresh introduction letter that was even factually inconsistent with the first presentation of Daria! Depressing!

However, I am not saying you can never succeed in meeting genuine girls through AnastasiaDate, only that the business ethics of this major player in international dating is seriously corrupted and you will most likely suffer from it.

In fact, I suggest everyone considering to use them first go and see the eye-opening videos of business insider Tony Bochene. You will be shocked at his revelations!

  5. Thank you for your feedback. At AnastasiaDate we strive to provide the best customer service to our clients 24/7.

It’s not by chance that AnastasiaDate has become the world’s leading Russian-American Introduction Agency. For over fifteen years AnastasiaDate’s constant commitment to honesty, integrity and hard work on behalf of her members has allowed the industry to raise its standards. The history of AnastasiaDate has been one of providing clients with genuine, valuable service in the face of other less scrupulous Russian dating agencies whose iniquity tarnishes the reputation of all.

AnastasiaDate is the first and only agency to tackle the issues of internet dating fraud and anti-scam head-on. There are other Russian singles and mail order brides agencies that conduct honest business. However, in the online introductions industry simple honesty isn’t enough to make a real difference to the consumer with regards to dating fraud. Industry professionals must be proactive and fight scam directly, and here’s why:

No agency is an island, and no mail order bride agency can operate independently. All major agencies depend on networks of dozens, (or in the case of AnastasiaDate over a thousand) smaller dating agencies to register ladies (Russian women and Ukraine women), perform services for members, and fight scam. Whenever a consumer deals with any given Russian or Ukraine brides agency they should keep in mind that their agency depends on numerous other affiliated agencies for scam and internet fraud protection.

If other Russian ladies’ agencies are less scrupulous (scammers), or if a particular Russian or Ukraine woman is disingenuous, the client suffers regardless of the integrity of their home mail order brides agency. Following this, a particular agency simply “being honest” is not enough to protect consumers. What is required is vigilance supported by forceful action against scam. Such attention is the pillar of AnastasiaDate scam and anti-scam operation.

AnastasiaDate scam and anti-scam unit has spent over a million dollars implementing an industry-wide business system designed to ferret out less than honest agencies suspected of internet dating scams while helping upright and trustworthy agencies prosper. Creating this comprehensive anti-scam watchdog system to protect and serve our members is a Herculean task as well as a significant financial investment. But AnastasiaDate’s scam and anti-scam operation firmly believes that the long term survival of our industry depends on stepping up to enforce discipline against dating fraud on the industry level. At the heart of the AnastasiaDate’s scam and anti-scam unit’s success is the protection she provides her members by establishing and asserting an ethical standard on the numerous Eastern European affiliate partners she deals with.

    Dear AnastasiaDate Customer Service,

if you are so sincerely interested in fighting scammers as you claim above, then why have you not yet reacted on my request to remove the profile of a scammer I caught red-handed being already engaged to a Ukrainian man and still dating Western men through your site?

Your site guarantees a response within 24 hours, yet after more than 2 weeks and two reminders I am yet to receive any acknowledgement of my request from you.

I will believe your talk of anti-scam when you can prove you will also act accordingly.

  7. Dennis Jans says:

    Dear Anastasiadate Anti-Scam division,

About 2 years ago, I complained about a date I had in Nikolaev. The interpreter for the date, whom I had gotten to know quite well during the whole day date, had been married a few months earlier and showed me her wedding photos and told all about her wedding day experiences throughout the day. I was shocked to see that she had a profile on your site, which I discovered soon after I returned home.

I complained to your site, and basically you told me to prove it. Ha! I replied the best I could, with photos from our date to confirm the woman’s identity and with a copy of her hand-written phone number so you could call her directly. I also provided some of the stories she told of her football star husband, whom I briefly met when he came in the taxi to pick up the 2 girls at the end of our date. I thought you could call her up and confront her with the story details, the photos, etc…

Instead, you finally wrote me 2 weeks later and said the girl provided a copy of her passport which proved that she was not married. Ha again! Probably a 3 month old copy from before her wedding! No refunds or sympathy from your site.

I continued to use your site, with more caution, but I only found heavily-photoshopped photos, “pro daters” just like the earlier complaint from the doctor above, and “no-show” women who disappear when I finally make it to Ukraine.

In my journeys to Ukraine, I even met an agency owner who told me his agency does not want real dates, just letter-writing and chat. He doesn’t want to lose the revenue generated by his most popular girls, so he lets them keep half of the money the translator receives for the date. In other words, after the date, the girls “go around the corner” and split the proceeds. They even have a term for this – “quick money” – a perk for the girl for working up the chats and writing the letters.

From my experiences with your site, I would lower your estimate of good girls from 99% to under 50%. Basically, it’s a cesspool of scamming, pro-dating and insincerity. Too bad most men don’t realize it until they are victims with much lighter wallets and broken hearts.
