Cristian’s Experience with “HotRussianBrides”: Negative!
Hello Miss Krystyna,
I wanted to share with you the disappointing experience. I was active on the “hot russian brides” website (HRB) till a week ago. My level of English is intermediate so I hope you can excuse me beforehand if this can become an inconvenience while you read the mail.
The story goes as follows: I contacted a lady who answered to the name of Masha at that website. We started our communication in January of this year and our conversation ran smoothly until last week. Over the last month I was writing to her practically every day until I ran out of mails on my subscription period.
In this gap of time I had available before getting the renewal of my monthly mail subscription, I decided to look for her in the social network vkontakte, the site that I have joined before entering hotrussianbrides on the early 2011, and at the end I could manage to find her profile through the search tools feature in there provided. I was very happy for finding her and sent her an e-mail with the help of Google translator in order to let her know that I wasn´t able to send more mails until a few days more.
I received no answer from her through the social network and kept receiving mails from her at the online dating website, but none of them touched the subject of me having found her at the social network. I started to think that maybe she was not using vkontakte very often. When the monthly period renewal on the online dating site came again, I wrote a mail to her using a poetic passage of love. She had embedded this poetic passage of love as a presentation on her social network profile (it seemed to me like a motto or personal belief, so I wanted to surprise her).
On the answer she sent me it appeared to me like she had never heard of that passage before. Then I started to suspect if the person of the dating site was the same person as the one on vkontakte. I tried to reach her through VK.com again by uploading to her profile and image of her receiving one of the gifts I sent her for women´s day but nothing happened again.
After that, I decided to test the person of the online dating site by showing to him/her a picture of Masha and her friends that I had extracted from her profile at the social network and ask some questions about it. The person couldn’t answer to the information I have requested explaining to me that she would be expelled of the site by keeping in touch with me using means external to the site.
Although there is no information on the guidelines of the site that prohibit the use of social networks to users (vkontakte or facebook). For me it has been really difficult to accept cause I don´t trust this person who is talking to me now, but I don´t want to regret missing the chance of meeting her if she is real.
Here is her profile at both websites:
Her name is Masha Mizina
After watching the videos of Tony Bochene in your blog and hearing about the term cash cows, I believe that Masha’s profiles fit the profile perfectly. Furthermore, I used the social network search tool and found other profiles; this one may seem dodgy or shady. I will leave the links below for the hotrussianbrides profile as well as the vk profile so you can check it for yourself.
The following profile correspond to Irinka Vasilenko and in her status she appeared MARRIED while still member of the dating site and listed in there as never been married:
The profile could not be found – 404 (Krystyna)
The following profile correspond to Anastasia Simonova and in her status appeared as In Love instead of actively searching or single. But I keep receiving letters from her on the online dating site. Of course her profile there must be fake and the website is using her data to capture the attention of more people
Anastasia Simonova (appeared as in love in VK social network)
My final question for you Miss Krystyna is what men should we do to get in touch in a reliable way with a Ukrainian women? It seems to me that I have spent and lost several months speaking to unknown people that may be even men. Perhaps, sending this letter to you would represent my first time communicating with a real Ukrainian woman.
I’m sorry that you became a victim of dating scam.
Russian dating expert Elena Petrova claims:
Online Dating Scams Affect 99 Percent Of Male Users Of Internet Personals, Millions Of Dollars Are Lost To Fake ‘Russian Women’
According to Elena, men using online dating sites regularly receive emails from ‘Russian women’ offering friendship, love and marriage. Most users simply disregard such emails but some people are curious and can be sucked in.
Elena warns, “99% of those emails are hoaxes designed by professional Internet criminals. All is fake — letters, photos, and feelings. The texts of the letters are prewritten and often sent and received by a database-driven computer script.”
“The only real thing in the whole story is the money that a man sends to someone in Russia. The people receiving the money often don’t know they are part of a fraud scheme; they simply get a small fee for each transfer they receive. Once someone reports the fraud and the name is black listed by wire transfer companies, the criminals find someone else to receive the money for them.”
Many scams run under dozens of identities and feature different sets of photos, which are often downloaded from the Internet. “Even my own photos were stolen from my site and used in a scam”, says Elena. “Most men cannot tell real Russian women from fake Russian brides. The wise thing to do is to never send money to anyone you haven’t met in person.”
I think it was your first experience with Russian and Ukrainian online dating. And you made a big mistake because you did not collect any information (reviews, experiences and comments of other users) about this dating company. Yesterday, I did a research on HotRussianBrides.com. I was really shocked: there are more than hunderds negative reviews on this site.
It is really very important to learn and read about the image of the company, reviews and experiences before you decide what International dating agency to use.
You lost money and time with this scam site. My advice is to be careful with International online dating services. The first sign of scam is asking for money. However, in your case scam is the dating agency. Furthermore, I am sure that Masha works for this agency as a model-translator-communicator. The photos on the HRB site cannot be stolen from VK.com because there are not these pics in her profile. In my opinion, the agency staff and the girls make make fake profiles on their site and develop a nice, promising communication with a male customer so that he buys more and more credits.
I have a question, namely: if a woman has serious intentions to find a husband abroad and become mother, would she install such a picture in her profile on an International dating site like this one:
I do not think so. These photos are suitable for erotic magazines, but not for online dating sites. As for me, such pictures provoke erotic fantasies, but not a desire to start a family and raise children. Serious women from Ukraine and Russia looking for a Western man for marriage won’t present themselves in this “cheap & slutty” way. You should know that before you contact such women on the dating site!!!! I guess that such women can be only professional pro-dates and scammers.
My next advice is be optimistic. I know it is not easy. Optimism is also important for success, isn’t it? Believe me – there are real women in Ukraine with serious intentions to meet a man for life and they are looking for you!
I have experienced that most Western men are scared about the fact of getting been scammed. This fear does not give them the opportunity to be happy about their communication with the Ukrainian woman who can be their match for life. I do not say that you do not need to be careful but you may not overplay this wariness!
Online dating is like offline: sometimes you have luck, sometimes you do not have luck… sometimes you meet a woman for life after just two days, sometimes you have to look for your match a few years. I have heard about negative and positive experiences. And I made bad and good online dating experience, as well.
I would recommend you to use a dating agency that has more positive reviews on the Internet like ElenasModels or A Foreign Affair. If you like more personal approach, try matchmaking agencies like Mordinson. Sorry for my hard opinion but the name “Hot Russian Brides” sounds scammy already. I as Ukrainian woman would never register on such a site with such a name.
