How to understand Ukrainian mentality
So I guess she will soon request me to send her some money to learn English. Otherwise she would not request my agreement. I am very surprised that a woman would ask me my agreement to study or do something, this is not the way it goes in my country. Here, women do not ask agreements to the men for that.
Since she is 30 years old without children, very beautiful and that I am 42 years old with one child, I am really wondering if she will not try to scam me. I do not know the mentality of Ukrainian girls but I know that here a girl like this would never show any interest in me.
I hope its not a scam
It is very difficult for me to have my own idea since I had a lot of deep talks with this woman and she seems to be very interested in my life, daughter, personality, feelings … and never talked me about money till now excepting to know if she could get a good salary as pediatrician here in Belgium.
May I ask your opinion about it?

To your questions:

I would say it is common for Ukraine because the education system is different than in Europe. The students have no possibility to go to Europe to study there; thus the level of foreign language knowledge is very low. I know the Ukrainian medical students must learn Latin at the university. That is all. English is not necessary for them. English knowledge is a real problem in Ukraine and Russia.
The first sign of scam - she asked money!

I made an online research how much doctors in Ukraine earn. I found out that pediatricians in Ukrainian hospitals earn about $150-200 per month, therefore the woman has no chance to pay for private language courses. Usually, the woman is waiting for an agreement to get money from a man for payment of her English classes.
Did you talk to her about learning English? Because she writes that she is happy about that you want to support her in this thing. Or did she decided that you agree?
I would advice you if you are not sure it is better to go to Ukraine first and meet your woman in person. It is simple to go to Ukraine for 2-4 days (you do not need a visa for Ukraine) and decide if this woman is a potential match for you or not. After that you can decide if you want to support her or not.

Yes it is possible that Ukrainian women are interested to find an older man from abroad. The reason is that too many beautiful women in the same area leaves the men in their homelands very spoiled. As a result, many women in their 30’s and 40’s are less appealing than younger women.
The men are aware that they can date or marry a woman much younger than their age group, so they do not try getting to know a woman who is their own age.
How risky is looking for a man abroad
Women from the Ukraine or Russia who are in their 30s and 40s find it difficult to find a man in their home country who is nice, willing to settle down and will remain faithful after the marriage because temptation is rampant in their home country.

Sad truth that most of people on dating sites are fake. Don’t know even what makes people scam others. Its hard to judge. But I believe that real people on dating sites do exist. Me personally suffered from scam couple of times. But then I understood that its strictly my fault. On internet just like in real life you need to be careful and take precautions when meeting new people. I analyzed my problems and kept looking for nice dating sites.
Been there, done that, brother! I finally caught onto it when someone that claimed to be a flight attendant with the airline I’m an independent travel agent for contacted me and began leading me on.
After a few attempts to meet in person I contacted the airline with her photo and her information (screenshots of her profile). They informed me that she did not work for us, and as such are pursuing legal action against Ukrianiancharm.com for using their name in their scam.
I found out the hard way and confirmed it when I told “her” that the only way to contact me was through the airline employees’ bulletin board, including my airline email address.
She ghosted me nearly immediately.
Go figure. Caught in the act and ran like a scalded dog.
I made the mistake over the last 3 years to use a site called Ukrainiancharm.com to find romance.
It has been a scam all along, and I just realized that. Once “eligible” to receive the contact information (spending 3000 credits at a cost of approximately $1332 per each woman), I have figured out that over three years I have spent over $7500 trying to find a loving relationship in real life, only to be told by each lady chatting that they’re “not ready yet” to meet in real life.
This has been a constant red flag that I have ignored, until I met one who supposedly works for the same company I work for. After chatting for a couple of years and never meeting her in person, even through my job with the company, I decided to check the employee database through HR with her photo to see if she did, indeed work for us.
Nope.
No such person exists in the airline. They’re now aware of this and are taking legal action for the use of their name in an obvious scam. Just wanted to let you know this is going on and has been for three years now with this company.
I gave her my contact information and told her that if she wants to continue with this conversation she can call me on my company extension. She blocked me immediately, telling me this is, indeed, what is going on by her actions. This website is all about keeping lonely men spending money to think we’re going to be lucky enough to find a relationship. I like working for a major airline with the deep pockets to go after these jerks.
Please let everyone know that if you have to spend money every time you want to chat then there’s probably a fake company that is defrauding the people on the site.
Another red flag, in retrospect, is the fact that only the women may post videos, but the men cannot do so at all. And to view a 10-second video costs $20 in credits. Just saying….
