TOP3 Sites For Russian & Ukraine Dating
What Is RomanceCompass.com?
Romance Compass is an international dating site where you can connect primarily with Ukrainian singles. However, you’ll also find ladies from other Eastern European countries and Russia.
The site was established in 2011, so it’s been around for 11 years (at the time of writing).
The whole homepage is kinda strange. You have a sign up form, a gallery of too many beautiful women (probably to entice desperate singles to join Romance Compass), and then a whole “blog article” (which is too long) about Ukrainian brides, why you should date them, and more.
There’s no information like what you’d find on reputable sites – a tag line to catch your attention, information about the site and what you can use it for, who the company is that manages the site, etc.
Digging deeper reveals that the company that operates Romance Compass also operates other online dating sites – VictoriaHearts.com and LoveSwans.com. But the info given on the Support page says that Compoint Solutions LTD, a Cyprus-based company, runs Romance Compass.
Not much info about them is available, but it seems they have a mobile app – Go Date Now – on the Google Play Store.
Yet, there’s no mobile app for RomanceCompass. But the dating site does have a social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

How Do I Set Up an Account on RomanceCompass.com?
Online dating platforms make it easy for you to set up an account. I mean, if you struggle, they lose out on business. And typically, this process may be even easier on non-reputable sites because they just want to make money off you.
As expected, it’s super duper easy to set up an account on Romance Compass.
Head on over to the homepage, and the sign up form is right there – front and center.
Under “Join Us Now,” you need to fill in:
- Your name
- Your country
- Your email address
- A password for the account you are creating
Next, you need to tick a box to say you’ve read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Ticking also confirms you are of age (18+) to use the service. Plus, you agree to get a newsletter from RomanceCompass (yay – more stuff to fill your inbox unnecessarily).
Before you eagerly click “Free Join,” have you read the T&Cs? Do you agree to all these terms? Or are you like many others before you who just blindly click and hope for the best?
You really should be reading these policies so you know what you are letting yourself in for. Just sayin’.
How Does RomanceCompass.com Work?
There’s not much to say when it comes to how Romance Compass functions as a dating site.
- You can browse for free. See who’s online. Drool over all the fake ladies who look like they are goddesses. Search for a lady who matches your love preferences.
- You sign up. (Yup, before you’ve even created your account since all the profiles are public, which, to be honest, is a big warning sign.)
- You create your profile.
- You watch video clips of the ladies, you start a live video chat, or you message them - after you’ve bought some credits.
Yes, I know, you wanna know more.
There’s nothing to tell. RomanceCompass.com is as basic as it gets in the online dating world.
How Can I Get a Free Trial on RomanceCompass.com?
There is no traditional free trial on Romance Compass. However, free trials tend to work differently for online dating sites.
When you get to sign up, create your account, search and browse for free, you get a taste of what’s on offer. You can also favorite profiles. So that’s your RomanceCompass.com “free trial.”
If you want to access the other services, you need to become a paying member.
Costs & Pricing: Is RomanceCompass.com Expensive or Cheap?
Romance Compass doesn’t have monthly membership plans. Instead, you need to buy credits and then spend the credits on the services you want to use.
So, when you want to video chat or message a lady, you need to first have some credits in your e-kitty, and then you can “buy” the service with the credits you bought.
You need to buy the credits in bundles, and here’s how much each bundle costs:
- ±US$13.20 for 20 coins (±US$0.66 per coin)
- ±US$36.30 for 60 coins (±US$0.60 per coin)
- ±US$66.00 for 120 coins (±US$0.55 per coin)
- ±US$123.20 for 250 coins (±US$0.49 per coin)
- ±US$154.00 for 350 coins (±US$0.44 per coin)
- ±US$218.90 for 500 coins (±US$0.43 per coin)
- ±US$328.90 for 750 coins (±US$0.43 per coin)
As you can see, the credits are slightly cheaper the bigger the bundle.
And by the way, don’t think you’ll get far with 750 coins …
Here’s how much the services on Romance Compass cost:
- Incoming mail or letter - free
- Sending a letter - 11 credits
- Watching a video clip - 25 credits
- Live chat - 1 credit per minute
- Live video (one-way) - 1 credit per minute
- Live video (two-way) - 2 credits per minute
- Request contact information - 25 credits (really cheap, so I wonder what’s up)
- Buy gifts - see the catalog, but generally, 390 credits for a floral basket and 25 credits for 5 roses
Is RomanceCompass.com Full of Fake Profiles?
Browsing through all the profiles on Romance Compass (and all without registering, because they are for public viewing), makes me wonder whether real Ukrainian, Russian, and Slavic ladies are on the other end of the profiles.
The profile photos all look like they are just too picture-perfect and have been digitally edited to the smallest T (or stolen from another source). So my conclusion is that there are many fake profiles on RomanceCompass.com.
How to Contact Customer Service at RomanceCompass.com?
You can only get in touch with the Romance Compass customer service team by visiting the Support page on the website.
From here, you need to fill in a web form with your name, email address, country, city, the subject line, and your message or query. Complete the “I’m not a robot” reCAPTCHA, and click “Send Message.”
Customer Reviews on Trustpilot.com and Sitejabber.com
Reviews on independent third-party review sites like Sitejabber.com and Trustpilot.com don’t look promising for RomanceCompass.com.
Let’s look at Trustpilot first.
There are 16 reviews for Romance Compass, and the online dating company hasn’t claimed the profile here, which also raises a few red flags.
RomanceCompass.com has an average star rating of 2.2, which is poor:
- No one gave the online dating service 5 stars
- 19% of reviewers gave Romance Compass 4 stars
- 12% of reviewers gave it 3 stars
- 13% of reviewers gave it 2 stars
- 56% of reviewers gave it 1 star
A recap of the reviews read:
- “If something is too good to be true …” and then goes on to say how all the chats and romance are scams - the operators do and say anything to keep you online for as long as possible so you can use your credits and buy more, more, more credits.
- How the profiles are fake because the “ladies” look like Bond girls.
- How the site is slow.
- And how you don’t get actual contact details for the “love of your life” - apparently, the site returns those 25 credits spent. (I can’t imagine why…)
Now for Sitejabber.
RomanceCompass has 2 reviews here and a rating of 2.5 stars.
One reviewer gave Romance Compass 3 stars and another gave it only 2 stars.
The 3-star reviewer talks about how he can’t decide whether Romance Compass is trustworthy. If he logs on and wants to chat to those ladies who are online, then he only gets spammed with messages from other women. (Fishy, right?) The reviewer mentions how the site wants you to chat to new ladies so you can keep on spending money.
The other reviewer blatantly says Romance Compass is a scam dating site – how fake “ladies” hide behind the oh-so perfect profiles and how the site uses profiles without consent from other dating sites.
Our Review Verdict: It’s Blacklisted!
With everything I learned about Romance Compass when I checked out and tested the site, I can only have one verdict: Stay away from RomanceCompass.com. It’s not a dating site I’d recommend to anyone.
Reasons why I blacklist Romance Compass:
- Poor customer reviews on third-party sites like Trustpilot and Sitejabber
- No upfront information about service and credits costs
- No information about the company behind Romance Compass
- The many, many fake profiles
- The high costs of the services
- No mobile app
- The fact that the ladies’ profiles are public
